Are they cotton reels or swingarm protectors? Well, they are both really!!
R&G Offset Cotton Reels protect the swingarm and core swingarm components from damage in the event of a crash, slide or drop. Doubling up as paddock stand bobbins too, they allow the motorcycles rear wheel to be lifted into the air with the use of a paddock stand to perform chain adjustments, chain lubrication and cleaning!
This particular pair of R&G Offset Cotton Reel kit has been specially designed to move the Cotton Reel/Paddock Stand Bobbin location further rearward as conventionally swingarm mounted cotton reels could/would impact the OE exhaust during suspension travel, causing damage and suspension/handling performance issues.

- The protectors are supplied and fitted together, with a special black-anodized aluminum bracket. This bracket is used, the forces occurring in a fall and reduce divert forces from the wing to the rear.
- Since the guards are bolted to the bracket, you can easily exchange after a fall.
