Kickstand Shoe's bolt onto the bottom of the sidestand, to enlarge the original’s footprint by up to 100%, significantly spreading the load placed upon it, to help prevent the stand ‘piercing’ the ground. Despite this enlargement, the Shoe does not affect ground clearance or interfere with the chain run during normal riding.
Available for nearly 100 different bikes, covering popular adventure, sports, nakeds and touring machines, each Shoe is bespoke to the intended bike and sandwiches the existing stand foot with an aluminium bottom level to prevent corrosion and is topped with a stainless steel lid for strength. Are they cotton reels or swingarm protectors? Well they are both really!!
The cotton reel is mounted to a special bracket (included with the kit) which brings the cotton reel away from the exhaust/can. Due to the position that the cotton reel is mounted, these protectors give protection to the swingarm area and therefore this product has double useage as the bike can still be lifted with a paddock stand on the cotton reel.The protectors are supplied and fitted together, with a special black-anodized aluminum bracket. This bracket is used, the forces occurring in a fall and reduce divert forces from the wing to the rear.
Conveniently, on the aluminum plate, a mark is attached, after you can perfectly adjust your chain.
Since the guards are bolted to the bracket, you can easily exchange after a fall.Delivery: left & right side
